Kody's first wife captioned a photo of her Lizzie'due south Heritage Inn: "Over the past weeks and months during the current pandemic, I've kept a shut eye on Utah guidelines for travel recommendations and possible restrictions for closures in the hospitality industry.

Meri then explained in the comments department that the inn has been open for essential travelers only, and that she's noticed "people are not taking precautions when traveling."

She added: "And so now that travel is starting to happen more, I am choosing to protect my family and staff."

Meri opened Lizzie's Heritage Inn in 2017.

The bed and breakfast was named after Meri'due south grandmother Lizzie, who lived in the historic dwelling.

Meri was able to earn the money on her own through her clothing business organization LuLaRoe.

The inn appears profitable, as Lizzie's Heritage Inn was named Best County Inn in Utah for two years in a row and has five stars on TripAdvisor.

The closing comes amid serious financial woes for the family.

Kody spent $820,000 on land in June 2018, which was split into four parcels to build on.

While Christine and Robyn purchased homes, Meri and Janelle are renting.
